The Content and Research Officer is responsible for researching, curating, and
managing content related to the Health Sector. This role ensures that the organization’s health sector-related
media portals are comprehensive, up-to-date, and engaging by organizing reports, events, multimedia content, and expert contributions effectively within the content management system (CMS).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Media Portal Research:
• Identify and analyze similar media portals covering the health sector
• Benchmark content strategies and identify best practices to enhance the organization’s Health
sector media presence.
2. Content Categorization:
• Continuous development and updating of website’s main topics and subtopics specific to the
Health sector to categorize reports and resources effectively.
• Ensure consistent labeling and tagging of all sector-related content for easy navigation and
retrieval.
3. Report Management:
• Research and curate a minimum of 50 reports related to the Health sector.
• Extract key information (descriptions, publishing dates, images, etc.) and input data accurately
into the CMS.
• Tag reports with appropriate labels to facilitate user access and searchability.
4. Event Research and Documentation:
• Identify upcoming and past events related to the Health sector.
• Gather detailed information including descriptions, themes, speakers, locations, and dates.
• Create mind maps to analyze and represent the structure and impact of these events.
5. Multimedia Content Curation:
• Research and compile relevant podcasts, interviews, and videos focused on health]topics.
• Ensure multimedia content is appropriately categorized and accessible within the CMS.
6. News and Opinion Articles:
• Source and curate the latest news and opinion pieces related to Health.
• Maintain an updated repository of articles for user engagement and informational purposes.
7. Expert and Youth Engagement:
• Identify and reach out to experts and young professionals in the Heath field.
• Coordinate contributions from these individuals for opinion articles and feature pieces on the
organization’s opinion page.
8. Database and CMS Management:
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the health sector content database.
• Regularly update the CMS with new content, ensuring all information is current and correctly
formatted.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Science, or a related discipline. MA is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in research and content management within the
Health field.
3. Familiarity with CMS platforms and database management.
4. Experience in research, content curation, and digital media.
5. Strong research and analytical skills.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
7. Proficiency in using content management systems and digital collaboration tools.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duty Time:
Monday till Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
