Talented Sous-Chef - Congo (French Language is mandatory)

We are seeking a talented Sous-Chef to join a Restaurant Chain in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)and support the growth of a high-end bakery restaurant chain in Kinshasa.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Proven experience as a Sous-Chef in upscale bakery or restaurant settings.
• Extensive knowledge of international cuisine; bakery/pastry expertise is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire kitchen teams.
• Expertise in menu development, costing, portion control, and quality assurance.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision, consistency, and high standards.
• Professional culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
• Fluency in French (mandatory); English is a plus.
• Prior experience working in Africa is considered a strong advantage.

Compensation: $2,500 (inclusive of food allowance), with provided accommodation, transportation, annual round-trip flight ticket, 30 days of paid annual leave, comprehensive medical insurance valid at Lebanese hospitals, and an end-of-year bonus
