Job Description
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, dump trucks, cranes, and generators
Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing
Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults and carry out repairs efficiently
Conduct inspections and prepare maintenance reports
Replace defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns on-site
Keep accurate records of repairs, services, and spare parts usage
Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime
Job Qualifications
Minimum of SSCE, Trade Test Certificate, or Technical College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3–7 years proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, preferably in a construction company
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Experience working with construction equipment brands (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, etc.) is an advantage
Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Physically fit and able to work long hours on construction sites
