Role Summary
We are seeking a disciplined and proactive Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day production activities of our plastic manufacturing facility. Your primary mission is to ensure that the production floor runs like clockwork. You will be responsible for translating customer orders into efficient production schedules, managing our workforce, and ensuring that raw materials are always staged and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
• Order Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of orders from receipt to fulfillment, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
• Production Scheduling: Create and manage daily/weekly shifts and employee schedules to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Resource Planning: Audit and verify the availability of raw materials and spare parts before production runs to prevent operational stalls.
• Operational Continuity: Monitor machinery and workflow to identify bottlenecks, implementing quick solutions to keep the factory running 24/7.
• Team Leadership: Supervise floor staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, productivity targets, and company policies.
• Quality Oversight: Ensure that the final product meets the required specifications and quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an operational or supervisory role within a fast-paced environment (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or large-scale production).
• Industry Background: Previous experience in the plastic industry is not required; we value your ability to manage processes and people above specific technical knowledge.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to forecast material needs and manage inventory levels.
• Leadership: A "firm but fair" approach to managing diverse teams and handling workplace scheduling conflicts.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet when a machine fails or a supply chain delay occurs.
