Job Description and Requirements
• Strong on-site knowledge concerning the Power field like the ability to handle Rotary equipment (pumps, turbines).
• Has worked before in Piping, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Reviews materials and equipment to see if they are in accordance with the specifications.
• Witnesses testing and commissioning and performance of various plants and systems.
• Attend regular meetings with the Construction team, and the Client to report on progress and help resolve issues where they arise.
• Review materials and equipment to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications.
• Coordinate with the Head of Department and obtain their comments prior to action.
• Review shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated.
• Inspect deliveries/installed/constructed work to ensure that it is in accordance with the shop drawings and the specifications.
• Monitor Sub-Contractor's submittals to local authorities and ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with the contract document.
• Respond to Client's request for information to clarify ambiguities.
• Review and approve Sub-Contractor's payment in line with estimated work completion so that he can be paid for the actual work done.
• Witness testing and commissioning and performance of various plant and systems. * - *
• Where required, provide a snag list for outstanding minor work by the sub-contractor.
Review 'As Built' drawings and 'Operation and Maintenance Manuals'.


Background:
• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of field service and/or commissioning experience.
• Strong on-site knowledge concerning the Power field and the ability to handle Rotary equipment.
• Strong written and verbal proficiency in English, French is a plus
• AVR / Generator Excitation / Scada system / Electrical Drive
• PLC programming, knowledge in fuel saver system, substation design is a plus
• Setup and operate high voltage/high current test circuits.
• Setting up high voltage and current measuring equipment.
• Strong computer skills (e.g. understanding of networking protocol, quick to learn new software, able to solve programming issues)

• Based in Lebanon
• Frequent travel on Overseas Missions around the World
