About the job
You will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, and compliance with accounting principles. You will work closely with senior management to provide insights into the financial health of the company and contribute to financial decision-making.
What you will be doing
Financial reporting:
Preparation and review of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets for each division
Ensure that all financial information is accurate, consistent, and compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations
Actively participate in the completion of audit engagements, working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting
Assist senior analysts and controllers in preparing financial forecasts and budgets
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the controller
Month-end close & financial analysis:
General ledger reconciliations, recording journal entries, posting allocations, and accruals
Prepare payroll summaries
Complete monthly closing activities, including balance sheet and bank accounts reconciliations
Perform month-over-month profit and loss analysis, identifying and explaining variances, and comparing results against the budget
Collaborate with the finance controller to review financial results, implement process improvements, and document accounting procedures
Additional tasks:
AR/AP supervision
Financial integration
Tax/annual filing
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
Advanced Excel and working knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Contribute to AI-readiness in finance, helping evaluate the impact of AI tools on financial processes
Passion for innovation in finance, including automation, data-driven decision making, and emerging AI applications
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in both written and verbal English is essential
