Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Africa (Multiple Sites)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to join our team in Africa. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and equipment across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and failures.
Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends and drive optimization initiatives.
Develop and manage maintenance plans, reports, and technical documentation.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications when necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and industry best practices.
Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3–4 years of relevant experience in maintenance and mechanical systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS is a plus).
Ability to work in challenging environments and adapt to different site conditions.
Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments.
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
Basic understanding of automation and control systems is an advantage.
