The Senior Civil Estimation Engineer is responsible for leading the estimation process for civil, structural, architectural, and fit-out works from tender inquiry through submission, ensuring accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders aligned with company objectives. The role involves detailed quantity take-offs, cost analysis, supplier coordination, value engineering, and support during the tendering process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for civil and fit-out works
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements
- Lead the tendering process and ensure timely, accurate submissions
- Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and obtain competitive pricing
- Identify tender risks, scope gaps, and propose value engineering solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams during tender stage
- Supervise junior estimators and support estimation best practices
- Prepare post-tender clarifications and support project handovers
- Maintain updated databases for unit rates, labor costs, and material pricing
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 6-8 years of experience in civil estimation and tendering
- Strong knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, and fit-out works
- Experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender pricing
- Strong understanding of unit rates, productivity norms, and local market pricing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Candy, and estimation tools
