Roles & Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop schematic and detailed designs including structural drawings, reports, and calculation notes.
- Conduct structural analysis and design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
- Perform seismic design and evaluation of new and existing buildings.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and ensure projects progress on time and within budget.
- Perform site visits, inspections, and evaluations when required.
- Develop BOQs, projects cost and required structural component/material quality based on designs.
- Prepare structural drawings, outline specifications, and computer models for building contractors.
- Utilize industry-leading CAD and engineering tools, including ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, ROBOT, StaadPro, AutoCAD or others.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
- Solid understanding of design software such as ETABS, SAFE, PLAXIS, SAP, Robot, ABAQUS.
- Strong knowledge of American standards, including ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC.
- Experienced in developing 2D/3D structural engineering drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in seismic design and analysis.
- Structural Concrete or Steel Design.
- Experience in structural or seismic retrofitting.
- Familiarity with parametric design tools (Rhino 3D, Grasshopper).
- Programming skills (Python, SQL, MATLAB, C++, ) are a plus.
