2. Job Purpose

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, components, utility machines, co2 machines, & diesel to required specifications in the plant. This role involves ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems within the production process, while also optimizing for cost and compliance with industry regulations.



3. Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience as an electrical engineer - preferably in the F&B industry
Fluent in English & French
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, PLCs, industrial automation, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in leading and developing a team of electrical technicians.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate & collaborate across department


3. Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and control circuits for new and existing equipment in the manufacturing facility.

• Oversee the daily operations of utility services, including water, electricity, gas, air, waste management, steam, & cold water.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical engineers, production managers) to integrate electrical systems into the production process.

• Oversee the utility systems, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring efficiency, & minimal downtime in production.

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to control systems, motors, power distribution, chillers/coolers, compressors, and other electrical components.

• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs & energy-saving initiatives to reduce utility costs and environmental impact & to enhance the reliability of electrical systems.

• Ensure that all electrical systems and components comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of electrical equipment and systems to identify and address compliance issues.

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, negotiating contracts, and resource allocation.

• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for equipment installation, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.

• Identify opportunities to improve electrical systems’ efficiency, analyze utility expenses, reduce energy consumption, and enhance overall plant performance.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and incorporate best practices into the manufacturing process.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for utility services & maintain accurate records of compliance and safety activities.

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of utility technicians and support staff including scheduling & overseeing staff assignments
