II. ROLE
Responsible for overseeing technical and commercial activities related to seed products, supporting product selection, evaluation, promotion, and market performance while providing expert guidance to farmers, clients, distributors, and internal teams. The role also contributes to business growth by combining agronomic expertise with strong market awareness and customer support.
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing technical expertise on seed varieties, crop suitability, planting methods, and agronomic practices
• Evaluating seed performance through field visits, demonstrations, and trial monitoring
• Supporting the development and implementation of strategies for seed product promotion and market growth
• Working closely with the sales team to provide technical support during client meetings and product presentations
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, distributors, agricultural partners, and clients
• Monitoring seed quality, germination performance, and compliance with relevant standards
• Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and improve product positioning
• Preparing reports on seed trials, field performance, customer feedback, and market observations
• Coordinating with suppliers and internal departments regarding seed availability, technical information, and product updates
• Organizing and participating in training sessions, demonstrations, agricultural exhibitions, and promotional events
• Providing guidance to junior staff or team members when needed
• Staying updated on developments in seed technology, crop production, and agricultural practices
IV. REQUIREMENTS in terms of experience, education and competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, or a related field
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in seeds, agronomy, crop production, or agricultural input businesses
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Commercial awareness and a business-oriented mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good reporting and organizational skills
• Good understanding of agricultural markets and customer needs
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
