Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of dedicated experience in heavy-duty machinery. In this role, you will be the technical authority on our fleet of heavy equipment (e.g., earthmovers, excavators, loaders, cranes, or large-scale manufacturing machinery). You will drive preventative maintenance programs, spearhead complex mechanical troubleshooting, design equipment modifications, and ensure maximum operational uptime, reliability, and safety across all heavy assets.
Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Lead the diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and repair of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures on heavy-duty equipment.

Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.

Provide high-level technical support and guidance to field mechanics and maintenance technicians during major overhauls and engine rebuilds.

Engineering & Optimization:

Design and implement structural, mechanical, or hydraulic modifications to improve machinery performance, durability, and safety.

Utilize 3D CAD software to draft replacement parts, custom attachments, or structural reinforcements.

Evaluate equipment performance data and fuel efficiency metrics to recommend operational improvements or fleet upgrades.

Project & Vendor Management:

Manage the procurement of critical spare parts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Collaborate with OEM representatives (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo) and third-party vendors for specialized repairs, warranty claims, and technical updates.

Oversee the commissioning and testing of newly acquired heavy equipment before deployment to the field.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of direct engineering experience working with heavy-duty mobile equipment, diesel power generation, or industrial heavy machinery.

Technical Skills:

Deep expertise in heavy-duty hydraulics, pneumatics, powertrains, and diesel engine mechanics.

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).

Familiarity with machinery diagnostic software and telemetry systems.

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities, strong project management skills, and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical staff
