Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Mining & Crusher Engineer to lead our quarry operations and manage our crushing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in rock blasting, quarrying methodologies, and the end-to-end mechanical management of crushing plants. You will be responsible for optimizing extraction processes while ensuring that all crushing equipment is installed correctly, maintained rigorously, and repaired swiftly to minimize operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Quarrying & Blasting Operations:
Design, plan, and execute safe and efficient rock blasting operations to meet aggregate production targets.
Oversee daily quarrying activities, ensuring optimal extraction rates and material quality.
Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective drilling and blasting patterns.
Ensure strict adherence to all site safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and regulations regarding the storage and handling of explosives.
Crusher Installation & Maintenance:
Lead the site preparation, installation, commissioning, and testing of new crushing plants (including jaw, cone, and impact crushers) and associated conveyor systems.
Develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all crushing, screening, and washing machinery.
Rapidly diagnose mechanical failures and perform hands-on repairs on crushers, feeders, and belts to maximize plant availability.
Manage the inventory of critical spare parts and coordinate with the procurement team to prevent supply bottlenecks.
Team Leadership & Reporting:
Supervise, guide, and train a team of heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and site personnel on operational best practices.
Maintain meticulous logs of daily production yields, equipment downtime, maintenance records, and blasting reports.
Conduct regular site inspections and proactive risk assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of proven, hands-on experience in quarry management, controlled rock blasting, and heavy machinery maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Certified or formally trained in explosives handling and advanced rock blasting techniques.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude with a documented track record of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy crushing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, mechanical schematics, and site plans.
