Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:Food / Grain Analysis Technician

Job Purpose

To collect, prepare, and conduct daily laboratory tests (chemical and physical) with high accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that raw materials and finished products comply with standard specifications and approved quality benchmarks, while preparing periodic result reports.

Key Responsibilities

Sample Management: Collect, classify, store, and document samples from production lines, warehouses, or incoming raw materials safely.

Testing & Analysis: Operate laboratory equipment and perform physical and chemical tests in accordance with quality plans and protocols.

Data Logging & Documentation: Accurately and immediately record test results into electronic systems and approved paper logs.

Calibration & Maintenance: Perform routine calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy, and maintain the cleanliness of tools and equipment.

Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify any non-compliant samples and immediately report them to the Quality Supervisor or Production Manager for corrective action.

Inventory Control: Monitor the stock of chemicals, reagents, and lab consumables, and request replenishments before depletion.

Occupational Safety: Strictly adhere to laboratory safety and occupational health standards when handling chemical or sensitive materials.

Reporting & Relations

Direct Supervisor: Laboratory Supervisor / Quality Manager.

Internal Coordination: Continuous and effective communication with the Production and Warehouse teams.

Employment Terms & Conditions

Location: Bourj El Barajneh, Beirut, Lebanon.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (14:00 - 22:00).

Saturday: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM (14:00 - 20:00).

Salary: $700 USD per month.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in laboratory work or Quality Control (QC).

Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies and equipment operation (e.g., moisture analyzers).

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational and documentation skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) for data entry and reporting.
