The overall scope is to ensure the efficient operation of the Engineering department supporting all other operating departments. This includes supplying services as required by the entire operation and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition. The job of Assistant Director of Engineering is executed satisfactorily when:

• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of the real estate.
• Ensure the production and supply of energy at all times.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and the hotel s procedures in regards to the guest contact.
• Optimise maintenance costs.
• Comply with all Kempinski company policies.
• Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

Desired Candidate Profile

NATIONALITY : Lebanese EDUCATION : Engineer in akk HVACR, architect or equivalent background EXPERIENCE: To fill the position the following is required: Very good knowledge of building equipment: heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, automatic operation Minimum 2 years experience in building technology Successful experience in a position of responsibility including management of staff Experience in the maintenance of buildings and facilities HVACR LANGUAGE: Local language excellent oral and written skills (as applicable) English excellent oral and written skills Additional language - beneficial COMPETENCIES: Include the skills the candidate must have to fill this position: Faculty of analysis, evaluation and decision making in the day-to-day business and in the case of emergency Very good organisation and work planning skills Very good leadership by leading, motivating and empowering multidisciplinary teams TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Software office (word, Excel, Access) Engineering Administration system INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS: To fill this position the candidate must identify with the Kempinski core values, in addition they should be especially: People Oriented Entrepreneurial Straightforward Good interpersonal skills including the capacity to listen to all team members Being sensitive to the presence of customers and constraint.
