Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs by engaging in friendly conversations.
- Provide expert advice on pet care products, including food, accessories, toys, and grooming supplies.
- Actively listen to customer inquiries, identify their requirements, and offer suitable product recommendations.
- Answer questions regarding pet health, nutrition, and product usage.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products available in the store, including their features, benefits, and pricing.
- Stay informed about pet industry trends and new product releases to better assist customers.
- Help customers compare different products and explain the differences to aid in their decision-making.
Sales and Upselling:
- Use persuasive selling techniques to upsell and cross-sell products, maximizing sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets while maintaining a consultative and customer-focused approach.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
Merchandising and Inventory:
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and displaying merchandise shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the store manager.
Customer Service:
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure their satisfaction.
- Handle returns and exchanges according to company policies.
- Build strong, positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
Store Maintenance:
- Participate in store cleanliness and organization, including dusting, sweeping, and arranging displays.
- Contribute to the overall store environment by maintaining a tidy and welcoming atmosphere.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve store goals and maintain a harmonious working environment.
