BRIEF DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The medical sales representative plays a vital role in promoting and selling medical products and pharmaceuticals to healthcare professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. Their work requires a broad understanding of the items they represent as well as a combination of sales, marketing, and customer service abilities.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

1-     Comprehensive understanding of the medicinal products sold; including the drug's benefits, usage, and competitive advantages.

2-     Responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to reach sales targets.

3-     Identify potential customers, make sale presentations, negotiate, and close deals.

4-     Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.

5-     The representative will be responsible for visiting doctors of certain specialties in the field to promote different lines of medication.

6-     Provide specialist in-depth clinical product information to healthcare professionals.

7-     Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities.

8-     Maintain sales records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations.

9-     Regularly meet clients, attend conferences, and conduct sales presentations.

10- Provide input on market needs and support promotional activities.

11- Coordinate with the sales supervisor regarding drug stock availability.

12- Coordinate with the sales supervisor regarding future market drug needs.


QUALIFICATION AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

 

1-     Bachelors in pharmacy, biopharmaceutical or biomedical science, or any other relevant life science degree.

2-     A minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical sales representative.

3-     Excellent communication and presentation skills.

4-     Ability to work individually and within a team.

5-     Strong understanding of the Lebanese healthcare industry.

6-     Self-motivated.

7-     Knowledge of the industry standards and regulations.

8-     Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

9-     Languages Required: Arabic – English, French is a plus.

10- This position involves daily rotation to various hospitals and pharmacies within the designated areas; Candidates should be flexible and willing to travel regularly.

11- Due to the nature of the position, a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license are prerequisites for this role to facilitate regular travel and client visits.
