Competencies required:
• Have a friendly personality and excellent communication skills to comfortably communicate with all levels of the business and fit into a remote team environment.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in local and international accounting.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Responsibilities and Obligations:
· Handle all the international accounting transactions (Lebanon, Iraq, United Arab Emirates)
· Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Treasury, Revenue Recognition and Cost Accounting
· Book vendor invoices prior to their due date
· Prepare and issue schedules of payments and collections
· Update vendors and clients’ statements timely
· Reconcile and resolve problem invoices within 10 days
· Communicate effectively with clients and vendors
· Build key relationships with vendors and clients to quickly resolve invoice issues
· Handle and process the Staff business expense claims and reimbursements.
· Perform Bank Reconciliation
· File invoices, statements, and any accounting related documents when necessary
· Process Payroll, including obtaining approval of new hires, terminations, salary amendments and the payroll run.
· Manage the Capital Expenditure process, including obtaining approval of acquisitions and disposals, maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, and completion of the Annual Inventory certification.
· Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
· Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
· Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities for Payroll, VAT and Corporation Tax.
· Provide required information/documentation for Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Audits.
· Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets.
· Adheres to internal and external deadlines
· Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
· Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
· Recruiting, hiring, provide input and continually interview to find new potential candidates for the accounting department when needed
· Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
