Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

·       Create and modify foundation plans (shallow and deep foundations), structural details, and other civil/structural engineering drawings.

• Generate accurate reinforcement detailing, sections, and elevations for structural elements.
• Develop, maintain, and manage CAD blocks, templates, and standard details to improve drafting efficiency and consistency.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design notes to create clear, comprehensive, and technically accurate CAD drawings.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, adherence to codes, and constructability of all drafted elements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, CAD software advancements, and best practices in structural drafting.
• Requires minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks
• Has knowledge of engineering principles
• Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision.
• Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to start and complete projects with limited supervision.
• May manage multiple projects at one time.
  
   

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest versions) with extensive experience in civil and structural drafting.
• Knowledge of foundation systems (spread footings, mat foundations, driven piles, drilled piers, caissons, helical piles etc.) and general structural detailing.
• Understanding the principles of structural steel and reinforced concrete
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (ACI & AISC).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise and accurate drawings.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good interpersonal communication, team player, self-starter
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Educations & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• Two or more (2+) years of experience in civil/structural drafting, preferably in an engineering consulting/contracting firm
