HR Assistant

Job Summary:
Assists the HR Department in day-to-day tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Monitors daily attendance
• Investigates and reports causes for staff absences
• Monitors days off such as holidays, annual leaves, sick leaves, etc. while ensuring employees are abiding by the set policies and practices
• Manages and maintains the HR web-based system, coordinating with IT on matters related to employee onboarding, moves, transfers, and identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency
• Updates HR policies, procedures, and practices based on the latest labor laws and internal regulations, ensuring all HR practices comply with legal and social obligations across the board
• Assists in HR activities related to employee wellbeing, training, and engagement
• Manages the employees’ quarterly newsletter (new joiners, leavers, marriages, newborns, etc.)
• Maintains the company’s organizational chart by department and office
• Researches about certain HR-related topics, analyzes the data and submits a detailed report on the subject topic
• Ensures adherence at all times to the corporate values, procedures, and policies of the company
• Supports recurring and ad-hoc HR initiatives and performs additional HR duties as delegated
• Maintains flexibility and responsiveness to support departmental needs and ensure smooth HR operations

Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field
• 0-2 years of HR work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
• Knowledge of the labor laws in the MENA region is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
