Merchandiser

Job Summary: The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products are presented in an appealing way, maximizing sales potential in retail environments. This role involves planning and executing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and working closely with sales teams to enhance the customer shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Display and Presentation:
o Create and maintain visually appealing product displays in stores to attract customers and increase sales.
o Implement planograms and merchandising guidelines provided by the company.
o Ensure that all products are well-organized, clean, and properly labeled with pricing and promotional information.
2. Inventory Management:
o Monitor stock levels and ensure that products are adequately stocked on shelves.
o Work with the supply chain or warehouse teams to manage product replenishment and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
o Conduct regular inventory checks to identify slow-moving or out-of-stock items and take corrective actions.
3. Sales Data Analysis:
o Adjust merchandising strategies based on sales performance and customer feedback.
o Prepare reports on merchandising activities and inventory levels.
4. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams:
o Work closely with sales teams to understand product priorities and promotional strategies.
o Collaborate with marketing teams to execute in-store promotions, product launches, and seasonal displays.
o Communicate effectively with store staff to ensure merchandising plans are understood and implemented correctly.
5. Market and Competitor Analysis:
o Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
o Conduct store visits and market research to gather insights on merchandising practices and customer behavior.
o Provide feedback to management on potential improvements to product assortment and merchandising strategies.
6. Customer Experience Enhancement:
o Ensure that product displays contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.
o Respond to customer inquiries about product location, features, or promotions.
o Work to create a shopping environment that reflects the brand’s identity and meets customer expectations.
7. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure that all merchandising activities comply with company policies and brand standards.
o Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stockrooms and display areas.
o Adhere to safety regulations and store policies during merchandising activities.
8. Training and Development:
o Provide training to store staff on merchandising techniques and standards.
o Stay updated on the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
o Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance merchandising skills.

Languages
Arabic, English (French is a plus)

Skills
• Strong attention to detail and creativity in product display.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using merchandising software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
