Roles & Responsibilities

Amaken is hiring a skilled and detail-oriented ELV Networking Technician for a network infrastructure company located in Hamra.

The ELV Networking Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, including networking, structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and data networking systems, as well as performing system troubleshooting in both commercial and residential environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain ELV systems including:
• CCTV systems
• Configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Provide technical support and maintenance services to clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients during installation and handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in ELV systems and networking (preferred).
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and network infrastructure.
• Experience in structured cabling installation and testing.
• Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems configuration.
• Ability to use testing tools (Fluke tester, fiber splicing tools, cable testers).
• Knowledge of brands like Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, Bosch, Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, Cisco is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
