Key Responsibilities
- Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotation, repair, and inspection.
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and pressure issues.
- Recommend appropriate tire replacements or repairs.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable tires based on their vehicle and needs.
- Safely operate tire changers, wheel balancers, and related equipment.
- Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend suitable solutions.
- Assist with wheel alignment and suspension-related tasks when required.
- Maintain accurate service records and a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment properly.
- Provide professional customer service and support other mechanical tasks as needed.
Working Schedule
- Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM
- Summer schedule: Saturdays are worked on a rotating basis for 6 months.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical/vocational education in automotive mechanics is an advantage.
- 2+ years of experience in tire service, tire fitting, or a similar automotive position.
- Good knowledge of tire mounting, balancing, rotation, repair, and inspection.
- Familiarity with different tire types, sizes, brands, and specifications.
- Ability to safely operate tire service equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and stay updated on tire products and industry practices.
