- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Manage inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities.
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or a similar field preferred.Experience needed 3-5 years. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with procurement software a plus.
