Souk El Tayeb is a social enterprise that was created in 2004 to improve the livelihood of small-scale farmers and producers while preserving Lebanese culinary traditions and rural heritage. The family of Souk El Tayeb includes multiple entities such as The Farmers' Market, Tawlet, Beit, Dekenet, and Matbakh El Kell.


Role Description

This full-time role entails working on-site at SET(Souk El Tayeb) in Beirut as a waiter.

A waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, answering inquiries, and ensuring guests have a great dining experience. Other duties include setting up tables, cleaning and preparing them before and after service, arranging cutlery, glassware, and plates, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area.


Responsibilities



 Welcome, greet, and explain Tawlet and Dekenet's mission to guests
 Serve food [breakfast, lunch], and drinks
 Handle payments and POS system
 Organize workstations (bar, dessert, buffet, Dekenet shelves)
 Maintain a clean and safe work environment
 Cross-selling / Upselling / Add-on selling: beverages, Dekenet items…
Qualifications

 High School Diploma and hospitality certification are a plus
 1 year experience preferred
 Good command of POS
 Good command of English & Arabic, and French is a plus
 Service-oriented – agreeable, helpful
 Work well under pressure
