Position Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Tech Store, Dbayeh, Lebanon

Introduction


Tech Store, a leading provider of the latest solar technology, security systems, safes, and alarms, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager for our Tripoli branch. The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that our supply chain and procurement operations run smoothly and efficiently.


Overview of the Position


The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required by Tech Store. This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Tech Store’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and purchasing materials and services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring the best possible pricing, quality, and service.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their suitability.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials and products.
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage procurement budgets.
  • Analyze and report on procurement metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that procurement activities support the company’s sustainability and ethical sourcing goals.

  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of market trends and conditions affecting procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.

Eligibility Criteria


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of managing procurement activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of the solar technology and security systems industry is a plus.
