We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Restaurant Hostess to join our team in Beirut, Lebanon. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and maintain a smooth flow of service throughout the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the restaurant staff to ensure that guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
  2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements, optimizing table turnover while maintaining a comfortable dining experience.
  3. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding the restaurant's menu, hours of operation, and special events.
  4. Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and communicate any special guest requests or dietary restrictions.
  5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area, ensuring a pleasant environment for guests.
  6. Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, providing accurate wait time estimates to guests.
  7. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude, striving to resolve issues promptly.
  8. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service standards and improve overall guest satisfaction.
  9. Stay updated on menu changes, special promotions, and events to effectively communicate with guests.
  10. Support the management team in implementing new initiatives to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  2. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
  3. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  4. A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing excellent service to guests.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  6. Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  7. Detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy in reservations and guest interactions.
  8. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during peak service times.
  9. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn more about the restaurant's offerings.
  10. Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
