Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freight Forwarder Agent role based in Beirut. The Freight Forwarder Agent will coordinate and manage export and import shipments across air, sea, and land, ensuring accurate documentation, timely bookings, and compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities include communicating daily with customers, shipping lines, airlines, and trucking partners to monitor cargo status and resolve operational issues. The role involves preparing and reviewing freight documents (such as bills of lading and shipping instructions), tracking shipments, and updating internal systems. The Freight Forwarder Agent will also handle rate inquiries, provide quotations, support problem-solving for delays or exceptions, and contribute to continuous improvement of forwarding processes.
key responsibilities
- Coordinate air, sea, and land freight shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and international agents.
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, manifests, and customs-related documents.
- Obtain freight rates and prepare quotations for clients.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers.
- Resolve shipment issues, delays, and operational challenges promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update operational systems.
- Support business growth by delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations.
- Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight, and land transportation procedures.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Fluency in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
