Role Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with strategic customers to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships. The role acts as the main point of contact between the company and key clients, understanding their needs and coordinating internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries and escalations.
- Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
2. Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
- Upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Develop account plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor customer needs and market trends to uncover new business opportunities.
3. Customer Support & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Technical teams) to ensure timely delivery and service.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently.
- Follow up on orders, quotations, and project execution.
4. Commercial Management
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contract renewals.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements.
- Monitor profitability and account performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Track sales performance and account KPIs.
- Prepare monthly reports and forecasts.
- Analyze customer purchasing patterns and market trends.
- Maintain accurate customer records and CRM data.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience in a B2B environment is an advantage.
