Job Details

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and implement departmental operational plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Translate project requirements into production and installation targets.
  • Set performance standards and KPIs for steel and aluminum operations.
  • Ensure coordination between workshop, site, engineering, and logistics functions.

Production, Fabrication & Installation Management

  • Plan, organize, and supervise steel and aluminum fabrication and installation activities.
  • Approve production schedules and resource allocation.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
  • Monitor productivity and workflow efficiency.

Quality Management & Technical Control

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Enforce workmanship and finishing quality requirements.
  • Lead rectification and corrective action processes.
  • Support inspections and client approvals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead technicians, supervisors, assistants, and laborers.
  • Approve training and development plans.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Enforce discipline and ethical conduct.
  • Build a performance-driven culture.

Asset, Equipment & Material Control

  • Oversee maintenance of machinery and fabrication equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Monitor inventory usage and material losses.
  • Approve major equipment repair and replacement needs.

Financial & Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Monitor production costs, wastage, and variances.
  • Implement cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Finance on cost reporting.

Coordination Reporting & Governance

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, and Logistics.
  • Participate in project planning and review meetings.
  • Prepare consolidated performance and cost reports.
  • Escalate major operational risks to management

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Promote productivity and process improvement initiatives.
  • Introduce best practices in fabrication and installation.
  • Support technology and system upgrades.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in steel and aluminum fabrication.
  • At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in project delivery and team leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of production planning and quality systems.
  • Knowledge of QHSE and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with workshop machinery and tooling
