Job Details


The Lawyer is responsible for providing legal services, guidance, and support to the University, its Campus, affiliated medical centers and related entities. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies; provides legal advice and support to various units, including operational, academic, and administrative units; handles contracts, dispute resolution, litigation, and corporate matters; and proactively identifies and mitigates legal risks to protect the interests of the University and its affiliates.


 Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong legal research and analytical skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders.


Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and exercise sound professional judgment while maintaining confidentiality.


Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, French and Arabic.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) . Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the relevant Bar Association, where applicable. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible legal experience, preferably within higher education, healthcare, if not, in other similarly large and complex organizations . Gulf experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of contracts law, corporate law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, labor and employment law, dispute resolution, litigation, and other areas relevant to higher education and healthcare institutions.
