Job purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding Prologistics’ client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and promoting the company’s integrated logistics and storage solutions. The role focuses on increasing revenue, strengthening market presence, and positioning Prologistics as a leading provider of sustainable and innovative supply chain solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Business development & sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries (FMCG, retail, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, etc.).
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Promote Prologistics’ full range of services including warehousing (dry, chilled, frozen), distribution, and supply chain solutions.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through market research, networking, and lead generation.
Client relationship management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand client needs and propose customized logistics and storage solutions.
Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals in line with company objectives.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Market intelligence & strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to management on market positioning and pricing strategies.
Contribute to the development of new services aligned with market demands and sustainability trends.
Cross-functional coordination
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams to align client requirements with operational capabilities.
Work closely with marketing to support campaigns, branding, and promotional activities.
Reporting & performance monitoring
Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and business development activities.
Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management review.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within logistics, supply chain, or FMCG sectors.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong understanding of warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations.
