Job description
The Field Project Coordinator provides on-site project oversight and operational support by monitoring production, quality, scheduling, financial performance, and contract compliance. This role ensures accurate documentation, traceability, and completion of as-built drawings while supporting efficient field execution and customer satisfaction. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided to support field responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Project planning
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Develop detailed project schedules and timelines
Identify required personnel, materials, and budget resources
- Team coordination
Provide daily direction and support to field crews and subcontractors
Promote accountability and alignment with project goals
Address issues proactively to maintain workflow and team cohesion
- Project execution
Oversee field activities to ensure adherence to project plans
Track milestone progress and adjust resources as needed
Monitor labor, equipment, and costs to maintain efficiency
- Communication management
Serve as liaison between clients, stakeholders, and field teams
Deliver accurate status updates and reporting
Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure visibility
- Change management
Review and evaluate scope or schedule adjustments
Implement approved changes while maintaining project alignment
Document and communicate all modifications clearly
- Project closeout
Prepare final reports and documentation
Support financial reconciliation and client acceptance
Capture lessons learned to improve future execution
Education & minimum requirements:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
- Familiarity with digital project or asset management systems
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in field and office environments
- Experience in underground utility construction
