Job description

The electrical maintenance technician will support maintenance, operations, and quality with repairs and redesigns to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of wiring standards and ability to work with 24VDC through 480VAC 3-phase
• Assist or lead in troubleshooting and repair of down production equipment containing computers, sensors, motors, PLCs, etc.
• Root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical issues and assist in implementing corrective actions
• Perform continuous improvement activities for quality and throughput
• Assist in the fabrication, installation, start-up, and commissioning of new production equipment and systems including new technology integration
• Assist with parts research and inventory
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and work orders in order to perform necessary maintenance tasks and service
• Electrical maintenance technician may be directed to perform and complete other tasks as deemed appropriate by management that may, or may not, be related to maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Associates degree or certifications in electrical engineering technology or electrical maintenance related fields
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of electromechanical systems and building power systems
• Ability to test systems with devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize time and handle multiple projects
