Job summary

This role supports the successful startup of the Lebanon API facility by coordinating and driving operational readiness activities across engineering, operations, and project teams. The engineer ensures systems, equipment, and processes are prepared for GMP manufacturing by tracking deliverables, resolving technical issues in the field, and aligning startup activities with construction and qualification timelines.

Job duties

• Coordinate and track startup and operational readiness deliverables across multiple technical disciplines.
• Monitor readiness progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution to maintain schedule and budget.
• Partner with engineering, validation, and operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues during startup.
• Align startup activities with construction, commissioning, and qualification schedules.
• Provide technical input on readiness plans, system performance, and equipment functionality.
• Ensure startup activities comply with safety requirements and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, electrical, or related field).
• 3–5 years of engineering or technical experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of GMP requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional startup environment.

Experience

• Capital project execution and facility startup experience.
• Familiarity with API manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Exposure to commissioning, qualification, and validation documentation.
