Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low voltage equipment on-site, ensuring all work meets technical specifications and quality standards.
-Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with electrical design plans, industry standards, and local regulations. Identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions when
required.
-Work closely with mechanical engineers, civil engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth integration of electrical systems into the overall project.
-Provide technical support to resolve any electrical issues encountered during the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
-Maintain accurate records of electrical works, including installation reports, testing procedures, and quality assurance documentation. Provide regular progress reports and updates to project management.
-Ensure that all electrical work adheres to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and enforce safety protocols for all electrical
installations.
-Assist with the procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring that they meet project specifications, are delivered on time, and are in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
-Supervise and participate in the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they are functional, operational, and meet client expectations.
-Provide updates to clients and stakeholders, address any electrical-related concerns, and ensure that all electrical aspects of the project are delivered in alignment with the client's needs and expectations.
-Monitor the progress of electrical installations, manage schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure electrical works are completed within the stipulated timeline.
-Implement value engineering practices to optimize electrical solutions and improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
-Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
-Prepare issues log, discuss recommendations and resolution with project managers and stakeholders
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years of experience in on-site supervision or construction management for electrical systems.
PMP or other project management certification, LEED accreditation, or any other relevant electrical engineering certifications is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
