Position summary

The supply chain manager is responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating all supply chain activities related to the aftermarket business. This role leads a dynamic team that collaborates closely with the direct source, finance, and distribution center’s shipping and receiving departments to ensure optimal efficiency throughout the entire supply chain lifecycle. The supply chain manager will drive continuous improvement and foster strong partnerships to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations.

Essential job functions

  • Lead the strategic planning, direction, and coordination of material and product purchasing and delivery.
  • Develop, track, and analyze key performance metrics to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Resolve claims and issues promptly to maintain seamless supply chain functions.
  • Approve and review invoices, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Oversee the identification and implementation of the most cost-effective transportation routes.
  • Conduct competitive bidding for company requirements within the marketplace to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Negotiate optimal rates for transportation and logistics services to minimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for transportation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and monitor supply chain requirements for new and ongoing aftermarket programs.
  • Supervise trade advisor services and broker actions to ensure full compliance with US import and export regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with government regulations related to supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating personnel and resources across multiple functions.
