Roles & Responsibilities

SmartFlow is looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our Technical Department in Beirut.

This position offers hands-on experience in temporary works engineering, including formwork, scaffolding, access systems, and structural support solutions for major construction projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings and layout plans using AutoCAD (2D & basic 3D)
• Assist in the design of formwork, scaffolding, shoring, and access systems
• Perform engineering calculations
• Support the preparation of material take-offs and design optimization studies
• Coordinate with site engineers, project teams, and suppliers
• Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements
• Participate in solving practical site and engineering challenges related to temporary works

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering from Lebanese University or Saint Joseph University Fresh graduates and junior engineers are encouraged to apply Good knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) Good understanding of structural analysis and engineering fundamentals Familiarity with engineering concepts such as statics, steel structures, concrete behavior, deflection, shear, and bending moments Good command of English Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines Preferred Skills (Plus) Familiarity with formwork and scaffolding systems Knowledge of SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, Revit, or similar software Basic understanding of construction methodology and temporary works Experience with 3D modeling or detailing software
