Roles & Responsibilities
Monitor raw material and overhead costs related to production
- Calculate and assess standard versus actual production costs
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production cost reports
- Analyze production variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Support product costing and ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams regarding stock utilization
- Oversee Work in Progress (WIP) and finished goods costing
- Assist in establishing standard costs and reviewing them periodically
- Ensure accurate data input into ERP and production systems
- Identify inefficiencies and areas for cost optimization to reduce waste
- Support pricing decisions by providing clear visibility on all related costs to ensure profitability
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting through detailed historical cost analysis and future projections
- Gather and analyze production cost components (raw materials, labor, overhead) and prepare related reports
- Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts, and provide monthly variance analysis
- Investigate discrepancies in cycle counts and resolve related issues
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including product costing, pricing strategies, and overhead allocation
- Hands-on experience with inventory management, stock control, and cost tracking processes
- Good understanding of production cost drivers, including raw materials, labor, waste, and overhead absorption
- Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis and reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
- Ability to analyze cost data and support pricing and profitability decisions
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operations, production, and warehouse teams
- Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cost control, cost accounting, or a related finance role, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, or F&B environments
