Description

Aspire Software is looking for an AI engineer to join our team in Lebanon.

Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the job

Your first project
Design and build a delivery tracking module for our ERP — covering shipment status ingestion from carriers, internal dispatch workflows, customer-facing tracking views, and notifications.
You'll own it end-to-end: data model, backend services, API integrations, and the UI layer that plugs into our existing ERP.

Ongoing scope

Build production features in Java and React; integrate with our ERP backend

Use Claude Code and MCP-based workflows to accelerate development across our codebase

Design AI-assisted capabilities where they add value (ETA prediction, exception detection, smart routing, natural-language search over orders/shipments)

Work with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, OpenSearch etc.)

Requirements

4+ years shipping production software

Comfort designing data models, REST APIs, and event-driven systems

Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic) and AI-assisted coding tools

Solid AWS fundamentals

Pragmatic, product-minded — can scope a module, ship v1, and iterate

About the company

Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the job

We are looking for a senior machine learning engineer who wants to own that evolution. This is not a research-only role. You will frame problems, explore data, design models, build evaluation systems, investigate real customer issues, and ship production services. Your work will influence real pricing decisions and measurable hotel revenue not just dashboards or internal prototypes.

What you'll work on

Pricing intelligence: Advance our pricing engine using probabilistic forecasting, elasticity estimation, contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, and other appropriate optimization methods.

Demand forecasting: Improve booking-curve and final-occupancy forecasts, including uncertainty estimates that can inform safer pricing decisions.

Safe experimentation: Build historical replay, simulation, backtesting, shadow deployment, and controlled rollout capabilities to measure revenue impact before models affect customers.

Production ML: Turn models into reliable, tested, and observable Python services, owning the path from experimentation through deployment, monitoring, and rollback.

Problem-solving and customer investigations: Debug unexpected pricing, data, integration, and production behavior. Trace customer-reported issues to their root cause and turn incidents into lasting improvements.

Data and intelligent experiences: Strengthen the reservation, occupancy, competitor-rate, PMS, and event-data pipelines behind our decisions, while contributing to AI-powered explanations and revenue-manager tools.

Tech stack

Python 3.11, FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy 2.0, and Alembic

PostgreSQL/Supabase and Redis

Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and statsmodels

OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, and LangGraph

PredictHQ and multiple hotel PMS and market-data integrations

AWS ECS/Fargate, SQS, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch

Docker, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, and PostHog

Requirements

Experience taking machine-learning systems from problem definition through production deployment and monitoring.

Strong Python and SQL skills, including experience building modular, typed, tested production software—not only exploratory notebooks.

A solid foundation in statistics, experimentation, forecasting, and model evaluation.

Experience working with time-dependent, noisy, incomplete, or imperfect real-world data.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to ambiguous technical issues.

Proven ability to debug production systems, including data pipelines, APIs, asynchronous jobs, integrations, and model behavior.

Experience investigating customer-reported issues, identifying root causes, and communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A habit of improving systems after incidents through better tests, monitoring, documentation, safeguards, or architecture.

The judgment to balance model sophistication with reliability, explainability, and business value.

Comfort working with APIs, relational databases, containers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.

Clear communication skills and an ability to work closely with engineers, product leaders, revenue-management experts, and customer-facing teams.

A high level of ownership: you can turn an ambiguous business or customer problem into a practical, measurable plan and carry it through to completion.

Years of experience are a useful signal, but not the deciding factor. We care more about what you have built, how you reason, and how you respond when models and systems meet the real world.

Nice to have

You do not need everything on this list:

Contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, bidding, or other sequential decision systems.

Probabilistic demand forecasting or hierarchical Bayesian modeling.

Pricing, revenue management, marketplaces, travel, hospitality, advertising, or e-commerce.

Causal inference and off-policy evaluation.

Model drift, data-quality monitoring, and experiment-tracking systems.

Multi-tenant SaaS or event-driven architectures.

Debugging distributed systems and third-party integrations in production.

LLM applications and agentic workflows.

AWS services such as ECS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch.

Hospitality experience is welcome, but not required. We will help you learn the domain.

What we value

Speed with quality — ship fast, but ship code and models a staff engineer would approve.

AI-native workflow — you don't just know about AI tools, you use them daily to write, debug, and architect.

Ownership — pick up a problem and drive it to completion without hand-holding.

Simplicity — elegant solutions over over-engineered ones. Minimal code that does the job.

Curiosity — our domain (hotel revenue optimization) has real depth. You're excited to learn it.

Description

Aspire Software is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer, (AI) to join our team in Lebanon.

About the role:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI), you embed directly with our businesses to design and ship AI-powered solutions against real, often messy, problems. You'll move between companies and domains — building a retrieval pipeline for one business one month, standing up an agent workflow for another the next. You own problems end to end: understand the domain, scope the solution, build it, and get it into production.

This is fundamentally a builder's role. We care far more about whether you can turn a problem into working software with modern AI tooling than about the title you held before. That means we're open to two kinds of people: experienced software developers, and senior product managers (or others from a product background) who have the technical know-how to actually build things themselves. If you can ship, and you're fluent with AI tooling, the lane you came from matters less than what you can do with it.

Why this role is different

Hard problems, real impact. The projects are demanding and technically ambitious — you'll work at the frontier of what current AI tooling makes possible, on systems people actually depend on.

Breadth no single company can offer. Across finance, logistics, education, government, and automotive, you'll see a far wider range of problems, data, and constraints than you would inside one product — and get sharp at recognizing patterns across all of them.

Latest tools, encouraged. We expect you to use the best available AI development tools and to push them hard. Experimentation is part of the job, not a side project.

Genuinely generous with tooling. This is one of the real perks of the role. Our leadership structure lets us purchase tools quickly, and we're open about which AI toolsets you use — if a tool will make you faster or better, we'll get it for you without a drawn-out approval process.

Autonomy. You're trusted to go deep into a business, figure out what's worth building, and ship it.

What you'll do

Embed with portfolio businesses to identify, scope, and build AI-powered solutions to high-value problems.

Design and build RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines and agentic systems that integrate with each business's data and workflows.

Integrate large language models via APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI / GPT, and others) into production applications.

Use AI-native development tools (Cursor, Claude, Windsurf) and automation platforms (n8n and similar) to build and ship quickly.

Take projects from problem framing through to deployed, maintainable software.

Move fluidly between business domains, ramping up fast on unfamiliar industries and codebases.

Requirements

The non-negotiable is that you can build. Beyond that, we recognize two paths into this role:

Senior software developers — you've built and shipped real systems and can operate independently. (In rare cases we'll consider a less experienced developer who is exceptionally strong with AI tooling, but senior experience is the norm.)

Senior product managers / product backgrounds — you've worked in a product or product-management role and have the genuine technical know-how to build things yourself, not just spec them. If you can take a problem and ship a working AI-powered solution, your product instincts are a real asset here.

Whichever path you come from, we also expect:

Hands-on experience with AI-native tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Windsurf, and a genuine interest in AI more broadly.

Comfort integrating AI APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, and others) into real applications.

The ability to own ambiguous problems end to end and ship.

Adaptability — you enjoy jumping into new domains and getting productive quickly.

Nice to have

Experience building RAG pipelines in production.

Experience building agents / agentic workflows.

Familiarity with n8n or similar automation / orchestration platforms.

Exposure to any of our verticals: finance, logistics, education, government, or automotive.

Tools & technologies you'll work with

You will own services end to end from API design and database schema through testing, containerization, and production deployment in a domain where correctness, security, and reliability are non-negotiable. This is a hands-on building role with clear ownership and room to grow into deeper platform and architecture work. Our services are REST/JSON APIs (Gin) deployed on AWS ECS, with observability handled through internal services today. As we scale the platform, there is real room to help raise the engineering bar introducing metrics and distributed tracing, structured observability, and stronger CI/static-analysis standards. If you like owning systems and shaping how they are built, you will have that runway here. You will join an engineering team that uses AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of its workflow. We expect engineers to use these tools well to move faster without sacrificing the rigor that payments demand.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain Go microservices (HTTP APIs, sidecars, and background processors) that handle payment authorization, tokenization, settlement, and reporting.

Write clean, well-tested Go: table-driven unit tests, mocked dependencies, and meaningful coverage on the paths that move money.

Profile and tune services for high throughput and low latency (pprof, benchmarking) transaction paths are latency-sensitive.

Integrate with relational and NoSQL data stores (MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL); design schemas, access patterns, and migrations that hold up under load and evolve safely.

Build and consume internal service APIs, including service-to-service authentication and shared platform libraries.

Containerize services with multi-stage Docker builds and ship them through CI/CD pipelines to cloud infrastructure.

Integrate with third-party payment processors and AWS services, handling sensitive data in line with PCI DSS and our security standards (secure coding, data masking, TLS, secrets management).

Build reliability into money-movement flows: idempotency, retries, and reconciliation/settlement correctness.

Participate in code review, design discussions, on-call rotation, and incident response for the services you own.

Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) effectively and responsibly as part of day-to-day work.

Desired Candidate Profile

3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production Go experience among them (mid-level seniority).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Solid command of Go fundamentals: concurrency done right (goroutine lifecycle, channel discipline, context-driven cancellation), interfaces, error handling, modules, and the standard library.

Experience building and consuming RESTful HTTP APIs, ideally with a Go web framework (we use Gin).

Working proficiency with SQL databases (schema design, queries, transactions) we use MySQL with sqlx.

Comfort with Docker and CI/CD pipelines as part of a normal development workflow.

Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) in real project work and good judgment about when to trust, verify, and override their output.

Strong testing discipline and the habit of writing maintainable, reviewable code.

Clear written and verbal communication, a collaborative and ownership-driven mindset, and comfort working in an Agile/iterative team onsite.

Preferred Qualifications

Payments / fintech background payment gateways, card processing, tokenization, PCI DSS, fraud, or financial transaction systems.
