<p><h4>Job description</h4> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Lebanon, IN - 100% onsite<br> <strong>Duration:</strong> 12+ months</p> <p>Our client seeks a field-focused construction engineer (MEP) to support a large capital project on a full-time onsite basis for an initial 12-month contract. This person will provide owner’s assurance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations, reviewing drawings and design packages to ensure they make sense in the field and align with design intent, technical standards, and GMP expectations.</p> <p>They will work closely with construction, engineering, and EPCM teams to resolve field issues, manage RFIs, coordinate with piping and other trade contractors, and drive solutions rather than simply reporting problems.</p> <p>Responsibilities include overseeing HVAC, plumbing, process utilities, electrical systems, and fire protection installations, monitoring daily progress and schedule risks, supporting QA/QC documentation and test packs, participating in walkdowns and punch list activities, and helping prepare systems for mechanical completion and commissioning.</p> <h4>Skills</h4> <ul> <li>Strong MEP construction engineering experience</li> <li>Ability to review drawings and assess constructability in the field</li> <li>Experience resolving field issues and driving solutions between construction and engineering teams</li> <li>Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, process utilities, electrical systems, and fire protection</li> <li>RFI coordination experience</li> <li>QA/QC documentation and test pack support</li> <li>Turnover, mechanical completion, and commissioning support</li> <li>Proficiency with Navisworks, Bluebeam, PROCORE, and field tracking systems</li> <li>Strong communication, ownership, urgency, and problem-solving skills</li> </ul> <h4>Background</h4> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years of experience delivering large CAPEX projects over $250M within pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or other high-spec industrial environments</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering</li> <li>Equivalent technical experience will also be considered</li> <li>Familiarity with GMP environments and documentation standards is desirable</li> </ul> <h4>Education requirements</h4> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering; equivalent technical experience considered.</p></p><p></p>

Mechanical Maintenance &amp; Reliability</p><ul><li>Design and execute a PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) schedule for all mechanical assets</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on filling lines, conveyors, blow moulders, pumps, and packaging machines</li><li>Perform overhauls on gearboxes, bearings, mechanical seals, shafts, and couplings</li><li>Monitor wear indicators and establish component replacement schedules to avoid unplanned downtime</li><li>Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring mechanical breakdowns and implement permanent fixes</li><li>Manage the mechanical spare parts inventory and ensure critical stock availability</li></ul><p>2. Process &amp; Line Engineering Support</p><ul><li>Support production during line start-up, product changeovers, and scheduled shutdowns</li><li>Assist in optimising line speed, throughput, and fill accuracy settings on beverage lines</li><li>Ensure CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems perform within validated cycles</li><li>Validate and document mechanical parameters: pressure, flow rate, torque, temperature</li><li>Assist in qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new equipment installations or modifications</li></ul><p>3.
