As one of the core public service providers, the Directorate General of Personal Status (DGPS) plays a critical role in ensuring citizens access to civil registration and identity-related services, which are fundamental to legal identity, protection, and access to public services. In light of the multiple crises affecting Lebanon, including the impact of the recent conflict, the demand for timely and accessible civil registration services has significantly increased. At the same time, several Personal Status Departments have faced operational challenges, including increased workloads, damaged infrastructure, and limited administrative capacity. Strengthening the Directorate s operational capacity is therefore essential to ensure the continuity and quality of service delivery. As part of its support to the MoIM, UNDP is assisting the Directorate General of Personal Status in enhancing its operational efficiency and improving service delivery through targeted technical assistance. To support these efforts, UNDP is seeking a National Technical Consultant to provide technical and administrative support to the Directorate in processing, organizing, verifying, and managing civil registration data and related records, thereby contributing to more efficient, accurate, and citizen-centred service delivery across the Personal Status Departments.</p><p>SCOPE OF WORK, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED ANALYTICAL WORK Under the supervision of the Senior Project Officer and the Director General of Personal Status, the consultant will be responsible for:</p><ul><li>Organizing and reviewing civil registration files and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with the Directorate s requirements.</li><li>Coordinating with relevant departments within the Directorate General of Personal Status and other concerned government entities to follow up on missing documentation and verify records, as required.</li><li>Entering, updating, and validating civil registration data in the Directorate s electronic database while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Supporting the processing, tracking, and archiving of civil registration records and related administrative documentation.</li><li>Identifying, reporting, and following up on data inconsistencies and technical issues affecting the electronic database, and coordinating with the relevant technical teams to facilitate their resolution.</li><li>Preparing periodic progress updates on data-entry activities, file processing, and operational challenges to support informed decision-making and efficient workflow management.</li></ul><p>EXPECTED OUTPUTS AND DELIVERABLES The consultant is expected to complete the above tasks and activities, noting that the total duration should not exceed six months, with no more than 15 working days per month.</p><p>INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS • The consultant will work under the overall guidance of the Governance and Rule of Law Chief Technical Advisor/Project Officer. • The title rights, copyrights, and all other rights of whatsoever nature in any material produced under the provisions of this Terms of Reference will be vested exclusively in UNDP. UNDP has full ownership of the activity and its final product. Accordingly, any public mention of the activity, including through social media, should clearly state such ownership. In addition, any public appearance related to the activity should be coordinated with and approved by UNDP. UNDP will be responsible for providing the contractor with all necessary materials related to the project in a timely, thorough, and transparent manner. UNDP will also be responsible for providing the necessary clarifications and facilitating the work. About the job Accountant Internship <br> <br><strong>Job title: </strong>Accountant Internship<br><strong>Paid Transportation</strong><br><strong>Internship duration: </strong>450 hours<br><strong>Internship schedule: </strong>Full-time from Monday to Friday (8.00 AM - 5.00 PM) <br><strong> Organization Overview:</strong> shareQ (www.shareq.org) is a Lebanese non-profit organization launched by a group of dedicated young professionals in 2012. shareQ is dedicated to innovating sustainable social projects and implementing them in collaboration with more than 30 NGOs. shareQ has currently two main departments, ProAbled (www.proabled.com) and M Social Catering (www.msocialcatering.com).<br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.</li><li>Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and promptly.</li><li>Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly.</li><li>Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of financial reports.</li><li>Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.</li><li>Collaborate with the Financial Officer and other team members to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.</li><li>Handle any additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned by the finance team.</li></ul><br><strong>Job Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>02 years of accounting experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Visual Dolphin).</li><li>Languages: Fluent in Arabic, and English (French is a plus)</li></ul><br><strong>Competencies:</strong><br><ul><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>Professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.</li></ul><br> </div>
