<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>In accordance with the established Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for advising on and operationalizing all aspects of UNRWA security and risk management, crisis readiness and preparedness in the Field, for all UNRWA personnel both Internationally recruited and locally recruited Area staff with focus on frontline Area staff security, particularly in those areas heavily impacted by the current conflict.</p><p>The Senior Field Security Officer (SFSO) serves as a principal Advisor and assists the Front Office (DUA and DDUA (Operations/Programmes)) in the execution of their security responsibilities in the Field. The SFSO ensures UNRWA's Security and Risk Management system is context specific and tailored to the needs of frontline personnel. OBJECTIVES The main objective of this consultancy is to provide dedicated technical expertise in civil engineering to support the supervision, monitoring, and quality assurance of civil works at the Wadi Khaled Social Development Center under the LDP project. About the job The main challenges: Due to the funding situation and the merger of the Finance and HR departments, the size of the Administration Department has been significantly reduced over the past period. While the mission was able to secure additional funding resources, the current team structure has not been sufficient to fully absorb the increasing workload and support demands. Since its launch in 2020, ADIP project activities resulted in the production of tools, templates and guidelines for the development of inclusive policies for digital accessibility, accessibility of emerging technologies, and digital accessibility to empower older persons; and its current activities include the development and review of a "National Digital Inclusion Policy Template for the Arab Region" and convening of an "Inclusive Arab Region" event. The internship will include assignments and hands-on experience in the substantive work of ESCWA in general and in the ADIP project activities in particular. Tasks include: • Conduct background research, retrieve and compile information, and prepare input and contribute to project activities, including the digital inclusion policy template, assessment tool, inclusive Arab region event, and the project's e-inclusion digital platform. • Prepare statistical tables and graphs and support on the preparation of presentations and background material to contribute to selected activities and deliverables. • Support the project team on the review of documents, data and information, to ensure accuracy, clarify and validity. • Assist the project team on the preparations for events and deliverables, and keep track of their related workplans and milestones for smooth implementations. • Support on the preparation of draft reports, briefings, presentations and correspondences, and on the translation of documents (English/Arabic). • Contribute to the teamwork and updates needed to the ADIP project online portal. • Support the teamwork on other related tasks, as needed.<br> Qualifications/special skills<br>To qualify for an internship with the United Nations internship programme, the following conditions must be met: 1.
