Role Overview
Build production AI systems for clients. You'll design and ship agentic workflows on Claude and AWS Bedrock AgentCore, retrieval systems backed by Bedrock Knowledge Bases, and MCP-based automations that connect directly into client tool stacks (Notion, Linear, HubSpot, AWS, Google Workspace, and more). This is a hands-on build role. You will write code, deploy infrastructure, and sit in client rooms explaining why the system behaves the way it does.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Design and build applied AI systems on Claude and AWS Bedrock AgentCore: RAG pipelines backed by Bedrock Knowledge Bases, agentic workflows, and multi-tool orchestration via MCP.
Own delivery of AI components end-to-end: architecture, implementation, evaluation, and post-launch monitoring.
Integrate Claude-based agents with client infrastructure and business tools via MCP servers (HubSpot, Notion, Linear, Google Workspace).
Translate ambiguous client problems into scoped technical builds with clear success criteria and numbers attached.
Document architecture and decisions in the client's Notion record so infra details never live only in someone's head.
Work alongside Pre-Sales Engineers during scoping calls to validate technical feasibility before commitments are made.
Select and tune the right model, retrieval strategy, and Knowledge Base configuration per use case.
Build and maintain eval suites (offline test sets, regression checks, LLM-as-judge scoring) that catch quality drift before a client does.
Design agentic control flow: tool-selection logic, retry/fallback paths, and guardrails against runaway loops or unsafe tool calls.
Instrument production systems with logging, tracing, and cost/latency dashboards to debug a bad output from a client.
Write modular infrastructure as code (Terraform) for AI workloads on AWS.
Conduct architecture reviews on other engineers' AI builds and flag failure modes before they ship.
Competencies
Can explain to a client, in plain language, why an agent made the tool call it made
Comfortable debugging a production LLM failure under time pressure, not just in a notebook
Can wire an MCP server into an agent and debug why a tool call didn't fire
Education, Experience & Language
Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Previous experience building and shipping production ML/AI systems
Fluent in English and Arabic
Tools & Certifications
Strong Python engineering; comfort with AWS
Practical experience with LLM application patterns: RAG, agentic tool-use via MCP, prompt engineering, evaluation design
Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock AgentCore and Bedrock Knowledge Bases
Nice to have: AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate, AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty (relevant given our compliance posture)

Description

Aspire Software is looking for a senior software developer to join our team in Lebanon.

Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

About the job

The senior AI software developer is an experienced full stack developer who focuses on complex tasks requiring a high level of abstraction, applying the right techniques to deliver quality and avoid technical debt. The role combines strong backend engineering in Java with modern frontend development in TypeScript, and contributes to the architectural decisions that shape the growth of our product. We expect this developer to work fluently with AI-assisted coding tools and to use them effectively to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.

Areas of key responsibilities

Use AI to write code in Java (backend) and TypeScript/JavaScript (frontend) to develop new features, working across the full stack.

Make effective use of AI coding assistants and developer tooling (e.g. code generation, review, and refactoring) to increase productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability.

Contribute to general software architecture decisions, collaborating closely with the software architect and colleagues from SysOps to make the right technical choices and grow our product.

Participate in an on-call rotation to support the reliability of our production systems, applying basic system knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues.

Analyse and fix defects reported by the 2nd level team.

Work with the QA team to fix issues found during the software verification phase prior to rollouts.

Use AI to create unit, performance, and integration tests.

Work with AI pod lead to complete specifications with technical details.

Analyse user metrics, propose, and implement improvements.

Other duties as reasonably directed; adhere to all company policies; take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace; recognise the dignity and respect of every team member and actively contribute to maintaining a work environment free from harassment, sexual harassment and discrimination.

Requirements

Background and experience

Relevant job experience and/or a degree in computer science

Minimum 4 years of experience

Solid backend development skills in Java and frontend development skills in TypeScript — i.e. a genuine full stack profile (additional experience with JavaScript, XML, JSON is a plus)

Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. AI coding assistants, LLM-based tooling) in a professional software development context

Experience with general software architecture and the ability to collaborate with architects and operations colleagues on design decisions

Experience working with CI/CD and SCM tools

Experience with databases and distributed systems

Basic system/infrastructure knowledge (beneficial for on-call responsibilities)

Experience working with larger software projects

Experience working with cross-cultural and cross-country teams

Skills and abilities

Team-oriented, problem-focused working approach

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to connect business and technical problems

Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and frameworks

Proficiency with AI coding tools and sound judgement about when and how to apply them (including awareness of their limitations)
