The Technical Field Manager will support the implementation of WAM operations in accordance with MAG Standard Operating Procedures and international technical standards, working under the guidance of the WAM Technical Lead, Senior Technical Advisor and Regional WAM Operations Manager. A core element of the role will be supporting the delivery of three International Ammunition Technical Courses across Lebanon and Jordan. These courses cover the full life cycle management of ammunition and explosives, from safe storage and inspection to risk reduction and disposal and are designed to strengthen national capacity in ammunition management. The Technical Field Manager will contribute to the implementation of WAM activities including the application of International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG), MOSAIC frameworks, and other relevant international standards. The role will support the development of national standards related to Small Arms and Light Weapons and Physical Security and Stockpile Management, helping to ensure that national practices align with recognised international guidance. Working closely with national authorities and programme leadership, the Technical Field Manager will help ensure the safe execution of all technical activities in the countries of operation. <p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Supports the design and development of learning programmes and curricula including supporting in organizing and conducting occupational and competency analyses within their area of specialization, drafting programme profiles, learning guides and manuals, assessing and integrating new and emerging technologies into the subject specializations, and assisting in integrating career guidance and counselling in the learning programmes.</li><li>Facilitates the delivery of the school-based and work-based learning programmes assigned to them including designing and preparing training venues, identifying and proper utilizing of the facilities and equipment, selecting the trainees, developing inclusive training (lessons) plans, facilitating and managing learning in classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and workplaces, employing adult learning strategies including integrating trainees with disabilities and special learning needs, and mainstreaming Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and core skills for life and work in the learning delivery.</li><li>Designs student assessments both formative and summative assessments, practice-based and knowledge-based skills tests; Develops assessment sheets, grids and inclusive skills assessment implementation plans including assessment of core skills and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH); Conducts knowledge and practice-based assessments and tests according to the assessment implementation plan.</li><li>Builds linkages with employers, workers, and TVET instructors in their specialisations; Collects and utilises available labour market information (LMI) for their training courses; supports conducting and analysing skills needs and anticipation assessments, employers surveys, trainees and graduate trace studies to identify skills gaps, needs, and mismatches for their learning programmes.</li><li>Applies quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle of their training courses according to UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework.</li><li>Supports TVET greening and digitalization initiatives and activities; Designs and implements green and digital learning programmes; Integrates green and digital skills into their training courses; Develops and facilitates synchronous and asynchronous training sessions.</li><li>Collaborates with other instructors and staff members in coordinating the teaching and learning process, keeping respectful environment at the Centre, maintaining order and discipline in the Centre, and implementing well-organized co-curricular activities, supporting the design and implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) measures and tools and reports on incidents and risks in the Centre.</li><li>Performs such other duties as may be assigned</li></ul><p>Competencies</p>UN Core Values of Integrity, Professionalism and Respect for Diversity, and Core Competencies of Communication, Working with People and Drive for Results apply by default. Since September 23, 2024, and the intensification of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon has entered a humanitarian crisis, with almost a million internally displaced persons (IDPs). MdM is stepping up its emergency response in areas where it is already active and is planning assessments in other parts of the country. MdM s activities are currently based in Beirut, Bekaa Valley and Hermel and assesment is planned in the south.</p><p>What you ll do</p><p>Under the supervision of the desk manager at the HQ, you are responsible for the overall management of the Lebanon mission. <p>The Operations & Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination between the Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, Administration, and Government Relations functions.
