<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><b>Job Title:</b></p><p>System Administrator</p><p>Division:</p><p>IT Department</p><p>I-Function:</p><p>- To ensure that the IT systems in the company are functioning smoothly and efficiently.</p><p>- Responsible of the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.</p><p>II- Reporting:</p><p>- To the Senior System Administrator</p><p>- To the Group IT and Productivity Manager</p><p>III- Supervising:</p><p>- IT Assistant</p><p>IV- Duties and Responsibilities:</p><p>- Ensures the implementation and management of the servers (file, print and e-mail) infrastructure, their</p><p>upgrades, capacity planning, security and audit.</p><p>- Ensures that the policies and the procedures of the IT department are implemented.</p><p>- Monitors and maintains the computer systems (Desktops and Laptops) and networks of the company.</p><p>- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.</p><p>- Formatting computers and replacing parts as required;</p><p>- Manages shared resources (disks, printers) and assign rights to users.</p><p>- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.</p><p>- Creates and maintain scripts (e.g.: logon).</p><p>- Manages the internal LAN, the IP address allocation and other network equipment.</p><p>- Gives technical assistance to users.</p><p>- Analyzes and registers problems faced by users on different hardware and software platforms.</p><p>- Manages users workstations, start up and shutdown schedules, regular backups, restorations, deals with crisis.</p><p>- Ensures installation/reconfiguration/reinstallation of applications, diagnosing and providing solutions to users’</p><p>difficulties.</p><p>- Participates in the implementation of any new software purchased or upgraded (LIMS, Microsoft Dynamics</p><p>NAV, HRMS, ESS, CPS, Etc…)</p><p>- Gives support to users on peripherals, printer configuration/management, disk space optimization.</p><p>- Analyzes and maintains overview of the office’s work and ensure that timely support is provided for general and</p><p>specialized office equipment.</p><p>- Manages peripherals, like printers, scanners, cameras, etc.</p><p>- Provides virus prevention and cure through tools and keeps track of updates on the virus prevention.</p><p>- Implements the necessary measures to keep a high level of IT security in the office.</p><p>- Keeps the inventory of the IT assets.</p><p>- Organizes and provides training and coaching to users on IT matters.</p><p>- Other duties as assigned.</p><p>V- Qualification:</p><p>Education and Experience:</p><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in an IT related field with a considerable experience in managing</p><p>Information Technology Infrastructures (minimum 2 years); or equivalent combination of education and</p><p>experience.</p><p>Language Ability : (Arabic, English)</p><p>Arabic: Read, Spoken and Written</p><p>English: Read, Spoken and Written</p><p>Skills:</p><p>This document is the exclusive property of ACTS.
