<br>We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Chef Patisserie & Bakery to join our team. The position will be based in Lebanon, with frequent travel to our companies, branches, and customers across Africa.

<br>Train internal teams, customers, chefs, and staff on the proper use and application of products.
<br>Support customers in troubleshooting technical and production challenges.
<br>Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support product launches, customer development, and market expansion.
<br>Assist in increasing product utilization through new recipes, applications, and demonstrations.
<br>Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, hygiene, food safety, and presentation.
<br>Prepare and maintain recipes, product specifications, trial results, and technical reports.
<br>Stay updated on new trends, techniques, ingredients, and innovations in gelato, bakery, and patisserie.
<br>Requirements & Qualifications
<br>Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Ice Cream/Gelato, Bakery, and Patisserie.
<br>Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Pastry & Bakery Arts, or a related field.
<br>Strong technical expertise in gelato, ice cream, bakery, pastry, and professional kitchen operations.
<br>Previous experience in hotels, hospitality, restaurants, professional kitchens, food service, or a similar environment is highly preferred.
<br>Proven experience in recipe development, product applications, product testing, and technical consultancy.
<br>Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and training skills.
<br>Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
<br>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different teams and customers.
<br>Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently across Africa.
<br>Fluent English is required; French is an advantage.

<p>Prepare and present a broad array of breads, bakeries, savouries and desserts which meet and exceed customer expectations. Ensure smooth daily production of breads, bakeries, savories and desserts. Control food and labour costs and seek opportunities to increase food revenue and departmental productivity. Participate in menu design and food preparation standards. Oversee implementation and training of new menus and recipes. Since September 23, 2024, and the intensification of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon has entered a humanitarian crisis, with almost a million internally displaced persons (IDPs). MdM is stepping up its emergency response in areas where it is already active and is planning assessments in other parts of the country. MdM s activities are currently based in Beirut, Bekaa Valley and Hermel and assesment is planned in the south.</p><p>What you ll do</p><p>Under the supervision of the desk manager at the HQ, you are responsible for the overall management of the Lebanon mission.
