<p>Despite the announcement of a ceasefire, the situation in Lebanon remains unstable, with localized incidents, including strikes reported in southern Lebanon. The June 2026 ceasefire has allowed for partial and phased returns of displaced populations, particularly in areas where active hostilities have subsided. The situation is compounded by Lebanon ongoing macroeconomic and institutional crisis which continues to limit recover capacity. High poverty levels, currency instability, and weakened public service delivery systems have left both host communities and displaced populations with reduced coping capacity and limited access to services. In this constraint environment, HI, who has been present in Lebanon 1992, has been able to adapt its programming to the specific emergencies onset as well as keeping some of its long-standing development focus. HI is managing activities covering the following thematics: Health and prevention for the provision of multi-disciplinary rehabilitation services (post operative care, physiotherapy, assistive devices, prosthetics and orthotics and psycho-social support). Inclusive education Inclusive humanitarian action Humanitarian Mine Action, including clearance, advocacy, NTS (non-technical survey) and TS (technical survey), and Education to the risks and effects caused by conventional weapons (including mines, explosive remnants of war and small arms light weapons). Emergency preparedness & basic needs (integrated response through non-food items / hygiene kits etc.; including the support to humanitarian actors via the ALTAS platform when required). The actual intervention was so far managed based on a mix partnership with local structures and organizations, and direct implementation projects.</p><p><b>YOUR MISSION:</b></p><p>Reporting to the Regional Director, the Country Manager contributes to the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion's mandate and strategy within his/her program. He/she ensures that the quality and impact of the program's activities are optimized through a system of delegation with appropriate control mechanisms. He/she shares responsibility with all other HI managers for the sound management and smooth running of the overall organization, through paradigm shifts.</p><p>Responsibility 1: In the country where he/she is based, the Country Manager is the legal representative of the entire HI organization internally and externally and promotes a high-level reputation and a positive image of HI.</p><p>Responsibility 2: The Country Manager deploys the whole of HI's mandate and strategy in his/her country, alongside the operational partners, institutions and/or donors, and contributes to steering the organizational transformation in line with the "Simplification", "Shared Services" and "ROOTS" projects. In the event of an emergency, he/she will assume responsibilities in line with the defined intervention framework.</p><p>Responsibility 3: He/she ensures compliance with its budgetary framework (including pooled funds) and the application of HI's policies and frameworks (safeguarding, commitment thresholds, security, human resources, risk management, etc.).</p><p>Responsibility 4: In his/her country, he/she actively monitors and analyses changes in the environment to identify risks and opportunities.</p><p>Responsibility 5: He/she represents the organization and communicates on its behalf according to a plan defined with the Regional Director.</p><p>Responsibility 6: In crisis situations, he/she assumes the responsibilities assigned to him/her by the specific response frameworks.</p><p>CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:</p><p>The country Manager position is based in Beirut, the capital, but is expected to travel across the country where HI has several bases (notably, Aley (Mount Lebanon) or Nabatieh (South Lebanon) for instance). The security context is very volatile with daily air strikes in the south, regular drones fly-over and evacuation orders on regular basis. While the location of HI office and guesthouse are located in a relative safe area of Beirut, one has to be prepared to have to move out rapidly if needed. A comprehensive security system is in place, under the direct management of the country director to ensure the safety of the team. The life is Beirut could be seen as easy in a way with access to restaurants, sports facilities or cultural events but as precise above, it s a stressful environment where one has to take some time off. Job Purpose
<br>The Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of Beit Kanz, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, proper reconciliations, and compliance with internal financial procedures.
<br>The Accountant works closely with the Chief Accountant and supports the preparation of financial reports, account reconciliations, supplier and customer accounts, cash and POS controls, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
<br>
<br>Key Accountabilities
<br>1. Accounting Operations
<br>• Perform general ledger accounting activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
<br>• Prepare and post journal entries on a timely basis.
<br>• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
<br>• Perform regular reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
<br>• Identify and report discrepancies and follow up on required corrections.
<br>• Assist the Chief Accountant with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
<br>• Prepare account analyses and schedules as requested.
<br>• Ensure transactions are properly classified and recorded under the appropriate accounts and cost centers.

<br>2. Cash, POS and Restaurant Reconciliation
<br>• Perform daily cash reconciliations and ensure that cash collections are accurately recorded.
<br>• Reconcile daily restaurant sales with POS reports, cash collections, card payments and other payment methods.
<br>• Investigate and report any discrepancies identified during daily reconciliations.
<br>• Monitor petty cash balances and ensure timely reconciliation and replenishment.
<br>• Verify that all cash movements are properly supported and documented.
<br>• Coordinate with the restaurant operations team regarding any sales, cash or POS discrepancies.

<br>3. Bank and Payment Processing
<br>• Assist with bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items.
<br>• Prepare payment vouchers and verify them against invoices, purchase orders, approvals and other supporting documentation.
<br>• Ensure that payments are properly authorized before processing.
<br>• Maintain proper filing and documentation of payment transactions.
<br>• Support the Chief Accountant in preparing payment schedules and following up on due payments.

<br>4. Suppliers and Customers
<br>• Reconcile supplier statements with accounting records and follow up on discrepancies.
<br>• Maintain accurate supplier accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
<br>• Follow up on accounts receivable and collections and report outstanding amounts to the Chief Accountant and relevant management.
<br>• Ensure invoices, credit notes and other transactions are properly recorded.

<br>5. Inventory and Cost-Control Support
<br>• Support the reconciliation of inventory records with accounting records.

<br>• Support cost-control activities by providing accurate accounting information and analyses.

<br>• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
<br>• Provide account analyses and financial information as requested by the Chief Accountant.

<br>• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing requested documentation and schedules.

<p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE: </strong></p><br><p>The Child Protection Officer will be in charge of the daily follow up of the Child Protection (CP) activities, provide support to implementing partners and lead the direct implementation in the field. The Child Protection programme includes the establishment and expansion of psychosocial programming with children and youth, capacity building and support for caregivers and coordinate with the community stakeholders and local authorities to implement community initiatives addressing CP issues.
