<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><b>Job Title: Development Gifts Coordinator </b><br>Department: Office of Advancement Services<br>Division: Advancement Office<br>Section: Gifts Processing Unit<br>Grade: 11</p> <p>Basic Functions: Responsible for gift processing, receipting and acknowledgements for all gifts received by the Advancement office. Drafts donor acknowledgements for the President, Senior Vice President, and Associate Vice Presidents approval. Manages high level donations.</p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>1. <u>Duties Performed:</u> </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Processes donations received by the Advancement and analyzes them to determine appropriate designations and accounts for processing.</li> <li>Coordinates the process of gift acknowledgements by drafting these letters and collaborating with Development writer.</li> <li>Handles highly confidential donor-related information.</li> <li>Coordinates with the Comptroller s Office the establishment of new funds and accounts and follows-up on transmitting this information to respective University departments and offices.</li> <li>Acts as the donor record specialist for Office s donors.</li> <li>Compiles several weekly, monthly, annual and other ad hoc financial reports on donations.</li> <li>Communicates with development officers in cases related to gift processing and closing of gifts.</li> <li>Maintains lists of donors with history of giving.</li> <li>Solicits gifts from graduating students for Fingerprints during clearance period.</li> <li>Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Advancement Services.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>2. <u>Work Contacts:</u> </strong> </p> <p>Regular contact with immediate work associates, Dean s offices, Comptroller s Office and President s Office.</p> <p> <strong>3. <u>Independence of Operation:</u> </strong> </p> <ul> <li>First Reporting Line: Director of Advancement Services.</li> <li>Second Reporting Line: Senior Vice President for Advancement and Business Development.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>4. <u>Supervisory Responsibility:</u> </strong> </p> <p>None.</p> <p> <strong>5. <u>Physical Effort:</u> </strong> </p> <p>Minimum physical effort - might be required to work outside office hours and on weekends.</p> <p> <strong>6. <u>Work Conditions:</u> </strong> </p> <p>Clean and pleasant.</p> <p> <strong>7. <u>Minimum Requirements:</u> </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. </li> <li>Good knowledge of English.</li> <li>Strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Ellucian Banner or another CRM/database is an asset.</li> <li>Good knowledge of basic accounting concepts.</li> <li>High confidentiality and integrity level.</li> </ul> <p> <i> </i> </p> <p> </p></div></section>
