This role is important to keeping production running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company quality and food safety standards.</p> <h4>Key responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.</li> <li>Monitor equipment, product flow, and finished product quality throughout production.</li> <li>Load and replenish product, packaging materials, and supplies as needed.</li> <li>Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.</li> <li>Identify, remove, and report products that do not meet quality or food safety requirements.</li> <li>Assist with equipment setup, product changeovers, and adjustments.</li> <li>Perform troubleshooting and notify the appropriate team members when issues arise.</li> <li>Follow all company safety, food safety, GMP, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.</li> <li>Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.</li> <li>Complete required production, quality, downtime, and cleaning documentation accurately.</li> <li>Communicate equipment issues, material needs, quality concerns, and safety concerns to supervisors, maintenance, and quality personnel.</li> <li>Support efficient production, reduced downtime, and consistent, high-quality finished products.</li> </ul> <h4>Qualifications</h4> <ul> <li>Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.</li> <li>Prior machine operation experience.</li> <li>Food manufacturing, snack, confectionery, or packaging experience is a plus.</li> <li>Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn automated packaging equipment.</li> <li>Ability to follow written procedures, safety rules, and production instructions.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail.</li> <li>English reading, writing, and math skills.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, cool climate controlled production environment.</li> <li>Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.</li> </ul> <h4>Physical requirements</h4> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and handle product, packaging materials, cases, and machine components as needed.</li> <li>Ability to bend, reach, climb steps/platforms, and work around production equipment.</li> <li>Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, moving parts, noise, and food ingredients.</li> </ul> <h4>Experience</h4> <p>Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:</p> <ul> <li>VFFS baggers, premade pouch machines, multi-head scales, checkweighers, X-ray inspection systems, conveyors, case erectors, case sealers, robotic packaging systems, and/or printers.</li> <li>SQF/GMP standards.</li> </ul> <h4>What we’re looking for</h4> <p>We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, adaptable, and committed to producing high-quality products.
